Torino came from behind to end the 2019/20 season with a 1-1 draw against Bologna on Sunday evening.
Moreno Longo gave Antonio Rosati a rare start in goal but the experienced goalkeeper was at fault for the opening goal.
Swedish midfielder Mattias Svanberg's low shot from just outside the area did enough to beat Rosati and give Bologna an 18th minute lead.
Former Bologna man Simone Verdi had Toro's best chance to equalise in the first half, but his shot was well saved by Lukasz Skorupski.
Toro did find an equaliser mid way through the second half, as Verdi's cross field ball was sensationally volleyed home by Simone Zaza.
Substitute Federico Santander almost scored a winning goal for the home side, but his shot went narrowly wide of the far post.
Youngster Christian Celesia came off the bench to make his Toro debut in injury time, and almost made an immediate impact but Andrea Belotti could not make a clean contact on his low cross.
Toro settled for a point and a 16th place finish in a season that started with such optimism but ended with disappointment.

Torino v Roma Preview
With their Serie A status secured, Moreno Longo may look to the future for this game, so a few of Torino's younger players may get the opportunity to impress.
Roma are in excellent form and have won five of their last six matches, and are looking to confirm a 5th placed finish.
Torino surprisingly won the reverse fixture between these sides in January thanks to a brace from Andrea Belotti.

Hellas have been one of the surprise packages this season following their promotion and are comfortably in mid table.

Lecce's surprise victory against Lazio last night means that Toro are only three points ahead of the Puglian side, and just four points clear of Genoa in the bottom three.

As 9/1 underdogs, not many people are giving Torino much hope of picking up a result as they desperately attempt to move away from relegation trouble.
One slight hope for Granata fans is that they have managed to avoid defeat in two of their last three visits to the Allianz Arena, with the sides drawing 1-1 in this fixture last season.
Earlier this season, Juventus were narrow 1-0 winners in a controversial affair in which Toro were denied a penalty for an apparent hand ball by Matthijs de Ligt.
The home side will also be desperate for points as they are currently only four points clear of Lazio at the top of Serie A.

Despite taking an early lead, Toro fell to 2-1 defeat against Lazio on Tuesday evening as their battle to avoid relegation continues.
The Granata made the perfect start as they were awarded a penalty within five minutes when Nicolas Nkoulou's volley was handled by Ciro Immobile in the area.
Andrea Belotti, who had missed his last penalty against Parma stepped up and confidently sent Thomas Strakosha the wrong way to give Toro the lead.
Ciro Immobile had two excellent chances to make amends for the concession of that penalty but on both occasions blazed high over the bar.
However, just three minutes into the second half, the former Toro striker finally grabbed his goal, with a clever finish across Salvatore Sirigu.
With less than twenty minutes remaining and Toro hoping to cling on to a valuable point, Marco Parolo's deflected effort from just outside the area gave Sirigu no chance and was enough to give Lazio all three points.

Cagliari picked up a much needed victory on Tuesday at SPAL thanks to Giovanni Simeone's late goal, which ended a run of four consecutive defeats.

Torino claimed their first victory since January with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Udinese on Tuesday evening.
Moreno Longo named the same starting eleven who drew with Parma in their first game since the restart, but were almost behind early on when Jens Stryger Larsen hit the post.
However, Toro did take the lead after sixteen minutes when Simone Edera set up Andrea Belotti - who made amends for his missed penalty in the previous match by firing home.
Udinese were then denied an equaliser when Salvatore Sirigu made a sensational save to deny Seko Fofana's strike from outside the area. Sirigu was once again at his best to make an excellent save from Sebastien De Maio at close range.

Udinese were then denied an equaliser when Salvatore Sirigu made a sensational save to deny Seko Fofana's strike from outside the area. Sirigu was once again at his best to make an excellent save from Sebastien De Maio at close range.

Moreno Longo will be pleased with the performance if not the result in Saturday's draw with Parma, so is not likely to make many changes. However, Cristian Ansaldi has recovered sufficiently from injury to be named in the squad, but is not expected to feature.
This will be Udinese's first match since the restart, so Toro will be looking to exploit their lack of match action. Before the break, Udinese had drawn four consecutive matches, and have not won since 12th January - the same date Torino last recorded a victory.

Torino v Parma Preview
The COVID-19 pandemic that has affected almost every country in the world has at least subsided enough to allow Serie A football to resume - albeit under strict regulations.
Daniele Baselli and Simone Verdi are injured for Saturday's match, with the former not expected to return until next season.
Whilst it seems bizarre to discuss a teams 'form' due to the enforced break during the season, it is fair to say that Toro's most recent results do not make for pretty reading.
Torino have lost their last six Serie A matches, with coach Moreno Longo still looking for his first point as Toro coach. The Granata will be looking to pick up some early points in order to secure their Serie A status as quickly as possible, as their terrible form has pushed them into relegation danger.
Parma are currently in 9th place and will be looking to make a late dash towards the European places now the season as resumed.

Torino lost their sixth consecutive game as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Napoli on Saturday evening.
Toro were playing in their first game for two weeks following the postponement of their home match against Parma due to concerns regarding COVID-19.
The home side were ahead within twenty minutes when Kostas Manolas headed home Lorenzo Insigne free kick.
Despite creating numerous chances throughout the match, Napoli were unable to extend their lead until the final ten minutes when Dries Mertens' excellent crossed was turned home by Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

After the disappointing defeats against Sassuolo and Atalanta, Toro needed to produce a performance in Puglia, but made the worst possible start.
With only ten minutes gone, Riccardo Saponara pulled a corner back for Alessandro Deiola to fire past Salvatore Sirigu in the Toro goal.
The home side then doubled that lead moments later as Antonin Barak was left unmarked to volley home.
It could have been 3-0 before half time, but Salvatore Sirigu made a great save to deny Gianluca Lapadula from close range.
However, things did not improve for the Granata after the break, as Sirigu was once again forced into making another save to deny Lapadula.

Lecce v Torino Preview
Toro performed well in the Coppa Italia defeat against AC Milan in midweek, but are still due a performance to make up for their embarrassing 7-0 home defeat against Atalanta a week ago.

Torino were moments away from a place in the Coppa Italia Semi Finals, but late heartbreak resulted in an extra time defeat to AC Milan on Tuesday evening.
The home side took an early lead through Giacomo Bonaventura following good work by Ante Rebic. However, Toro got a deserved equaliser from an unlikely source as Brazilian centre back Bremer galloped forward and finished like a prolific striker.
With twenty minutes remaining, Toro took the lead when Ola Aina's excellent crossed was headed home by Bremer, to get his second goal of the game.
In the first minute of injury time, substitute Hakan Calhanoglu equalised for Milan as his long range strike deflected off Koffi Djidji and past Salvatore Sirigu in the Toro goal to take the match to extra time.
In the first half of extra time, Toro had some good opportunities but were unable to find a breakthrough. The Granata were then punished as at the start of the second half, Calhanoglu fired and excellent shot past Sirigu to give the home side the lead. Torino suffered their heaviest home defeat in history on a night to forget at the Stadio Grande Torino on Saturday evening.
Atalanta took an early lead when poor defending from Diego Laxalt allowed José Palomino to charge down his attempted clearance, and then provide an excellent cross to allow Josip Iličić to score.
The away side doubled their lead ten minutes later when German wing back Robin Gosens volleyed home from outside the area following a corner.
It was 3-0 just before half time when the referee awarded a generous penalty when Sasa Lukic pulled back Iličić in the area, and Duvan Zapata made no mistake from the spot.
Torino actually made a bright start to the second half, and had a chance to pull a goal back, but Andrea Belotti was denied by Pierluigi Gollini.
However, the game was put beyond any doubt after a moment of genius by Josip Iličić. The Slovenian reacted quickly when a free kick was awarded to Atalanta on the half way line, and he shot directly at goal to catch Salvatore Sirigu off his line.

Sassuolo staged a second half comeback to beat Torino 2-1 at the Mapei Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Granata made a bright start and took the lead after twenty minutes when Tomas Rincon's low shot from outside the area was deflected into his own net by Manuel Locatelli.
Toro almost doubled their lead moments later, but Andrea Belotti's curling shot went wide of the far post. At the other end, Salvatore Sirigu made a great save to deny Francesco Caputo, although the former Empoli player probably should have scored.

Torino produced their best performance of the season on Sunday evening, as they began 2020 with an impressive victory at Roma.
With Cristian Ansaldi and Bremer suspended, Lorenzo De Silvestri and Koffi Djidji came into the back five.
The Granata made a great start, and captain Andrea Belotti was only denied an early goal when Pau López made an excellent save to tip his goal bound shot onto the post.
Lorenzo De Silvestri also had a great chance for Toro, and the former Lazio man should have done better with his header when well placed.
The home side came into the game, and Torino were once again thankful for Salvatore Sirigu who made excellent saves from Aleksandar Kolarov and then Lorenzo Pellegrini.
On the stroke of half time, Toro took a deserved lead thanks to their captain who fired a powerful shot past Lopez from a difficult angle.
Toro were continuing to create chances in the second half, and for the second time in the game, Lopez had to tip a shot from Belotti onto the woodwork - this time the bar.
Roma had a number of half chances to force an equaliser, but a combination of good defending and poor finishing kept Toro ahead.

The Granata made a great start, and captain Andrea Belotti was only denied an early goal when Pau López made an excellent save to tip his goal bound shot onto the post.
Lorenzo De Silvestri also had a great chance for Toro, and the former Lazio man should have done better with his header when well placed.
The home side came into the game, and Torino were once again thankful for Salvatore Sirigu who made excellent saves from Aleksandar Kolarov and then Lorenzo Pellegrini.
On the stroke of half time, Toro took a deserved lead thanks to their captain who fired a powerful shot past Lopez from a difficult angle.
Toro were continuing to create chances in the second half, and for the second time in the game, Lopez had to tip a shot from Belotti onto the woodwork - this time the bar.
Roma had a number of half chances to force an equaliser, but a combination of good defending and poor finishing kept Toro ahead.

Roma v Torino Preview
Bremer and Cristian Ansaldi are both suspended so Kevin Bonifazi or Koffi Djidi should deputise in the back three, whilst Ola Aina or Diego Laxalt should replace Ansaldi.
Roma ended 2019 in excellent form, winning four of their last five games of the year - whilst also picking up an impressive point at the San Siro against Inter.

Torino's disappointing and inconsistent season continued with a home defeat against bottom of the table SPAL, as they ended the game with ten men.
As expected, Andrea Belotti returned to the starting eleven and the Granata made a perfect start as Tomas Rincon fired home after only four minutes.
However, the away side were looking dangerous in their search of an equaliser and Alberto Paloschi somehow missed a free header from close range.
