Torino 2-3 Roma

Torino lost their final home game of the season in an entertaining game on Wednesday evening against Roma.

Samir Ujkani made his Toro debut as Moreno Longo chose to rest first choice goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

Toro went ahead against the run of play as Simone Zaza set up Alex Berenguer who stylishly rounded his compatriot Pau Lopez to give Toro the lead. That lead did not last long as the away side equalised through Edin Dzeko just two minutes later.

Roma then took the lead as Chris Smalling headed home from Carles Perez's corner as the Giallorossi went into the break in the lead.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Roma were awarded a penalty as substitute Koffi Djidji upended Edin Dzeko in the area. Replays did suggest as if Djidji may have won the ball, but the penalty was given and Amadou Diawara made no mistake from the spot.

Toro reduced the deficit almost immediately as young defender Wilfried Singo, making his full debut for the club scored a sensational goal.

The Ivorian picked the ball up inside his own half before embarking on an excellent run which culminated in him firing past Pau Lopez.

That proved to be the highlight of the match for Toro as the Granata fell to a 20th defeat in what has been a forgettable (yet also unforgettable) season.
