Brighi had been training with Torino for the last month, but coach Giampiero Ventura wanted to ensure that the former Italy international had fully recovered from the injury he suffered whilst on loan at Atalanta last season.
The midfielder's impressive performance in Thursday's friendly with Getafe (where he provided a fantastic assist for Rolando Bianchi) seemed to assure everybody at the club that he is now fully fit.
This acquisition will provide Toro with some much needed know-how in the vital midfield area, and Brighi has top flight experience in abundance, having made at least ten appearances in each of the last twelve Serie A seasons.
