Chievo 0-1 Torino

Torino left it late to claim their second win of the season, as Simone Zaza's first goal for the club earnt the Granata all three points.

There was once again a surprise in Walter Mazzarri's starting eleven, as Simone Edera was given his first start of the season.

Despite starting brighter, the home side struggled to create any clear cut chances, with Edera going the closest for either team with an effort that went narrowly wide of the post.

Chievo should have taken the lead in the opening stages of the second half, but Mehdi LĂ©ris blazed over the bar when well placed.

At the other end, Ola Aina almost scored his first goal in a Toro shirt, after being set up by substitute
Simone Zaza, but the Nigerian wing back was denied by former Torino keeper Stefano Sorrentino.

With Toro looking for their first away victory of the season, Iago Falque made his return from injury off the bench as they desperately searched for a winning goal.

Torino were rewarded with only two minutes of normal time remaining, when a move started by Ola Aina's interception ended with Simone Zaza scoring his first goal in a Toro shirt.

Iago Falque should have doubled Torino's margin of victory in injury time, but the Spaniard failed to hit the target from Andrea Belotti's assist. However, Zaza's goal was enough to give the Granata a deserved victory.
