Torino 1-3 Napoli

Torino suffered their second defeat of the season as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Napoli on Sunday afternoon.

Ola Aina returned to the starting eleven in place of the injured Lorenzo De Silvestri, whilst Simone Zaza made his first start with Iago Falque also injured.

Toro made the worst possible start and were behind after only four minutes when Emiliano Moretti's poor clearance hit Nicolas N'Koulou and Lorenzo Insigne was on hand to fire home.

Napoli had made a quick start, and almost doubled their lead through Simone Verdi, but for an excellent last ditch tackle by Armando Izzo.

However, former Toro winger Simone Verdi did get on the score sheet on twenty minutes when he swept home Dries Mertens' cross.

Torino reduced the deficit early in the second half after Alex Berenguer was upended in the area by Sebastiano Luperto. Andrea Belotti stepped up and sent David Ospina the wrong way to give Toro a lifeline.

However, less than ten minutes later, more poor defending, this time from Armando Izzo allowed Napoli to win back possession and score a third goal. Insigne added his second goal of the game after being first to react after Jose Callejon's initial effort hit the post.

The away side had further chances to increase their margin of victory on an afternoon to forget for the Granata.
