Torino claimed their first victory since January with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Udinese on Tuesday evening.
Moreno Longo named the same starting eleven who drew with Parma in their first game since the restart, but were almost behind early on when Jens Stryger Larsen hit the post.
However, Toro did take the lead after sixteen minutes when Simone Edera set up Andrea Belotti - who made amends for his missed penalty in the previous match by firing home.
Udinese were then denied an equaliser when Salvatore Sirigu made a sensational save to deny Seko Fofana's strike from outside the area. Sirigu was once again at his best to make an excellent save from Sebastien De Maio at close range.
Despite a flurry of corners by Udinese in the 2nd half, the away side struggled to create any meaningful chances after the break. In fact, it was Toro who came closest to scoring but this time Belotti was denied by Juan Musso.

Torino v Udinese Preview
Moreno Longo will be pleased with the performance if not the result in Saturday's draw with Parma, so is not likely to make many changes. However, Cristian Ansaldi has recovered sufficiently from injury to be named in the squad, but is not expected to feature.
This will be Udinese's first match since the restart, so Toro will be looking to exploit their lack of match action. Before the break, Udinese had drawn four consecutive matches, and have not won since 12th January - the same date Torino last recorded a victory.

Torino's inconsistent start to the season continued as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Udinese on Sunday afternoon.
New signings Diego Laxalt and Simone Verdi were once again named in the starting eleven, as Toro hoped to build on their promising performance against Napoli in their previous game.
Udinese made a bright start and could have taken the lead in the opening minute, but Ken Sema saw his low shot hit the post. The home side were continuing to create chances, and Mato Jajalo's was unfortunate to see his long range shot hit the other post.
On the stroke of half time, Udinese finally got their reward as Stefano Okaka headed home from close range.
Toro did improve in the second half, and an acrobatic volley from Andrea Belotti forced Juan Musso into a save. Iago Falque came off the bench and almost made an instant impact, but his deflected effort went narrowly wide of the target.

Udinese v Torino Preview
Lyanco should keep his place in the back three following an impressive performance against Napoli, whilst Lorenzo De Silvestri and Ola Aina will be looking to regain the places in the starting eleven.

It is believed that former New York Yankees pitcher Lefty Gomez first coined the phrase 'I'd rather be lucky than good' and Torino certainly lived up to that mantra on Sunday afternoon as they somehow emerged victorious.
As expected, Koffi Djidji and Iago Falque replaced the suspended Nicolas Nkoulou and Simone Zaza as Toro lined up in a 3-4-3 formation with Alex Berenguer earning a rare start.
Torino should have taken the lead when Sasa Lukic's corner found an unmarked Andrea Belotti, but his header was magnificently tipped over the bar by Juan Musso in the Udinese goal.
However the Granata did not have to wait long to open the scoring, as Cristian Ansaldi's accurate cross found Ola Aina who headed home his first goal for the club.
Udinese's best chance in the first half was from a set piece, but Rodrigo De Paul's long range free kick was easily dealt with by Salvatore Sirigu.
With fifteen minutes remaining, Udinese were awarded a penalty by VAR after Koffi Djidji was adjudged to have fouled Stefano Okaka. However, De Paul was denied from the spot following an outstanding save from Sirigu.

Nicolas Nkoulou and Simone Zaza are both suspended, so should be replaced by Koffi Djidji and Iago Falque, whilst Daniele Baselli and Soualiho Meite will also be pushing for recalls.
Udinese had seen an upturn in their fortunes under new coach and former Toro defender Davide Nicola, however, they are win less in their last three Serie A matches. Perhaps more worryingly for the away side, the Zebrette's last away game was a 4-0 defeat against Sampdoria two weeks ago.

Torino once again suffered a VAR controversy as Alex Berenguer had a goal wrongly disallowed in a 1-1 draw at Udinese.
With Ola Aina not fit enough to start the game, Berenguer started at left wing back, whilst Daniele Baselli was preferred to Tomas Rincon in midfield.
After twelve minutes, Toro had a goal disallowed when Berenguer headed past Simone Scuffet, but replays showed the Spaniard was onside. However, as referee Paolo Valeri had already blown his whistle, it was not possible to refer to VAR.
Lorenzo De Silvestri had a great chance to give Toro the lead, but he fired his shot wide of the far post.
Udinese took the lead just before the half hour against the run of play after a counter attack and Rodrigo De Paul's long range effort deflected off Nicolas N'Koulou and past Salvatore Sirigu.

Toro almost took the lead in the early stages, but Iago Falque's wide free kick rebounded of the crossbar. Nicolas Burdisso also came close to scoring, but the Argentine saw his header cleared off the line.
Torino then had a lucky escape as Antonin Barak thought he had given Udinese the lead, but after consultation with VAR, the goal was disallowed.
Just after the half hour mark, Toro took the lead as Falque's corner was met by an excellent glancing header from Nicolas N'Koulou.
The Granata doubled their lead mid-way through the second half thanks to Andrea Belotti's sensational solo effort. The Toro captain ran from inside his own half before beating two Udinese defenders before finishing past Albano Bizzarri in the Udinese goal.

Torino won their third match of the season as they beat Udinese 3-2 in an entertaining clash on Wednesday evening.
Cristian Ansaldi and Lyanco both made debuts for the Granata as Sinisa Mihajlovic rotated his defence ahead of the derby on Saturday.

Despite earning victories against Sassuolo and Benevento, the Granata have yet to look that convincing this season, and with the derby against Juventus on the horizon, Sinisa Mihajlovic will hope for that to change sooner rather than later.
Mihajlovic is likely to rotate his squad, with Brazilian defender Lyanco and deadline day signing both Cristian Ansaldi expected to make their debuts.

David Zappacosta came close to giving Toro an early lead, but his long range shot whistled narrowly past the post. At the other end, Duvan Zupata somehow managed to miss from Stipe Perica's cross when it seemed easier to score.

Torino came from behind to earn a point in Udine on Monday night thanks to Adem Ljajic's fine individual goal.
As expected, Marco Benassi and Daniele Baselli came back into the midfield but Lucas Boyé was a surprise starter in place of Iago Falque.
Toro took the lead after fifteen minutes when Andrea Belotti played a perfect through ball to Marco Benassi and the former Inter midfielder finished well when one on one against Orestis Karnezis.
The Granata could have doubled their lead before half time, but this time Karnezis was able to deny Andrea Belotti who was through on goal.
Torino were made to pay for that missed chance on the hour mark when Cyril Thereau headed home a right wing cross to bring the home side level. Udinese then managed to take the lead ten minutes later when Toro failed to clear a corner, and Duvan Zapata managed to score from one yard out.

After suffering defeat in mid-week, Torino will try to get back to winning ways when they travel to Udinese on Monday evening.

Torino produced one of their best performances of the season as they thrashed Udinese 5-1 on Saturday evening.
Toro started without their first choice centre backs so Cesare Bovo, Pontus Jansson and Gaston Silva all started.
The Granata were thankful for a smart save from Daniele Padelli in the early stages, as the Toro keeper reacted quickly to deny Ryder Matos from close range.
The home side were made to pay for that early miss, as moments later Torino took the lead when Gaston Silva's corner was headed home by Pontus Jansson.
Toro doubled their lead on the stroke of half time as Udinese failed to clear their lines, and were punished by Afriyie Acquah who pounced on the loose ball before smashing it into the top corner.
Udinese reduced the arrears with only two minutes gone in the second half as Bruno Fernandes crossed for Felipe, who looped his header beyond Padelli.

After their mid-week thumping at the hands of Juventus, Torino will look to give their fans something to cheer in their last fixture of 2015.
The Granata have been in good recent form in the league, and have not been beaten since a narrow defeat against Inter at the start of November.
